Sidi Larbi Boujema

SIDI LARBI BOUJEMA (“Vopisciana”) Morocco.

A station of the Antonine Itinerary (23.5) The city probably stood in the valley of the Sebou, perhaps near the marabout of Sidi Larbi Boujema, 6 km S of Mechra bel Ksiri, where some Roman ruins have been found, rather than at Ouezzane or the Jebel Kourt as some have suggested. Eight km to the S are important ruins buried in the alluvial deposits of the Sebou, between the wadi and the railroad, at Souk el Djemaa el Haouafat.
